Chiropractic care is a complementary and alternative medicine that focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, especially those affecting the spine. Chiropractors use a variety of techniques, including spinal and extremity manipulation and mobilization, therapeutic exercise, and specific soft tissue work to help alleviate pain, restore joint function, establish neuromuscular symmetry and coordination, and improve overall health and wellness.

Some people choose chiropractic care as part of their healthcare routine because it can offer a drug-free and non-invasive alternative to traditional medical treatments. Chiropractic care has been shown to be effective in treating conditions such as low back pain, neck pain, headaches, and other musculoskeletal disorders.

As a certified functional medicine practitioner, my approach to healthcare is centered around the individual. I take into account a person's unique genetic makeup, lifestyle, and environmental factors to understand the underlying causes of their condition. I believe that treating the symptoms alone is not enough, and that identifying and addressing the root causes of disease is the key to achieving optimal health and wellness.
To achieve this, I use a variety of tools, such as lab testing, to understand the biochemistry of the body, and I may also use functional medicine techniques like nutrient therapy, lifestyle modification, and herbal medicine.

Focused Shockwave Therapy (FSWT) is a non-invasive medical treatment that uses high-energy acoustic waves to stimulate healing in various parts of the body. It is often used to treat musculoskeletal conditions such as tendinitis, plantar fasciitis, and tennis elbow. During the FSWT procedure, a hand-held device is used to deliver high-energy acoustic waves to the affected area of the body. These acoustic waves are focused and penetrate deep into the tissue, creating microtrauma and stimulating the body's natural healing response. This results in increased blood flow, the formation of new blood vessels, and the production of collagen, which helps to repair damaged tissue.

Dr. Kelly was born and raised in Marietta, Ohio. From an early age he was active in a variety of sports and suffered several significant injuries.  As the recurrent trips to the doctor accumulated- so did his interest in the human body and performance.

Sports carried him to Ohio University, where he continued his football career and furthered his education.  While at Ohio, he began shadowing different types of medical and performance industry professionals in hopes of gaining real-world experience and ultimately, choosing his future career path.

Several thousand hours and three degrees later, he owns and operates Columbus Pain & Performance.  He is well known as an ‘outside-the-box’ thinker, diagnostician, and devoted doctor. In 2016, he accompanied the Olympic Freestyle Wrestling Team in Rio de Janeiro, and continues working with several athletes as they continue to train while in Columbus.

During his leisure time, he enjoys being on the family farm with his partner, Aubrey, and their newborn daughter, Vera.
